The newly built Holiday Inn Express & Suites will be opening it's doors in October 2024, expanding our footprint and solidifying our presence in the local market.
Ghent Marriott stands proudly in the historic city centre, gracing the banks of the Leie River within the medieval harbour. Boasting 150 luxurious bedrooms, 9 versatile meeting and event spaces, a renowned restaurant, and a charming terrace overlooking the canal, it's a beacon of hospitality in the city.
The Residence Inn by Marriott, Belgium's first of its kind, opened its doors in 2019. Nestled in the southern part of Ghent near the Football Arena and major motorways, it offers 105 modern self-catering apartments, catering perfectly to extended stays with all the comforts of home.
Excitingly, our growth doesn't stop there. Our owners are developing an additional full-service hotel with a meeting centre, opening in 2025, expanding our footprint and solidifying our presence in the local market.
All properties are managed by Aimbridge Hospitality EMEA, a division of the Aimbridge Hospitality brand, overseeing a vast portfolio of over 1,600 hotels and resorts worldwide. From big brands like Hilton, Accor, Marriott, and IHG to boutique and independent hotels, Aimbridge Hospitality prides itself on excellence and diversity.

Are you passionate about hospitality and eager to be part of a brand-new venture? We are looking for a dynamic Talent and Training coordinator.
A day in the life of...
As our Talentt coördinator, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing training programs to ensure our staff is equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to provide exceptional service to our guests. Based mainly at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites and the Residence inn, you will focus on our two hotel openings.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about professional development and have a strong background in hospitality training.

Hence you are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and support your colleagues to enhance a memorable experience throughout the hotel.The ideal candidate has a proven track record as an inspiring leader who enjoys coaching and empowering team members and who takes pride in meeting and exceeding expectations as one team.
Your most important tasks will be:
Training Program Development: Design and develop comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of various departments within the hotels conform brand standards - IHG and Marriott brand.
Training Delivery: Conduct onboarding sessions for new employees to familiarize them with hotel policies, procedures, and culture. Make sure that SOP’s are signed of and the employees are well informed about the SOP’s.
Employee Development: Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and career development opportunities for staff. Work closely with Horecaforma and Advise HOD’s on which trainings are recommended.
Compliance and Record Keeping: Ensure all training programs comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

Profile
To be successful in this role, you will:
Fluent in Dutch, good knowledge of French and English
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in training and development, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Proven track record of designing and implementing effective training programs.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and graphic design programs to make flyers (Canva, Adobe…)
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
High level of discretion and professionalism.
